  2. Set Rows and Columns with the sliders or tap a preset like 2×2 or 3×3.
  3. Review the grid preview showing each tile size and the total tile count.
  4. Choose an output format — WebP for small files, PNG for lossless images, or JPEG for broad compatibility.
  5. If exporting to JPEG, pick a background fill color for transparent pixels before splitting.
  6. Click Download All Tiles to save every tile, or use the per-tile buttons to download individually.

Privacy and Client-Side Security

Privacy Guarantee: All splitter conversion and format encoding occurs locally inside your browser. Your files and data are never transmitted, stored, or recorded on remote servers.

Many online splitter tools ask you to upload your photo to their servers before processing. That creates privacy risk for personal or work images. TinyToolzz takes a different approach: the conversion happens entirely on your device with the HTML5 Canvas API.

The image is sliced into tiles on a canvas and each tile is encoded separately into the new file without a single network request carrying image data. When you leave the page or click Reset, the image data is released from memory. Nothing is stored, logged, or shared.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the image splitter work?
The tool draws your image onto a canvas and slices it into equal tiles based on the rows and columns you choose. Each tile is exported as a separate image file that you can download individually, with no scaling of the original pixels.
Are my photos uploaded to a server when I split them?
No. The Image Splitter runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas and FileReader APIs. Your image is read from your device into browser memory, split locally, and is never transmitted, stored, or recorded on any remote server.
Can I choose how many tiles to create?
Yes. Use the rows and columns sliders from 1 to 10. For example 2×2 creates 4 tiles, 3×3 creates 9 tiles, and 1×3 creates a 3-panel carousel. Preset chips let you switch quickly between common grids.
What output formats can I save the tiles as?
You can keep the original format when it is JPG, PNG, or WebP, or export as WebP, PNG, or JPEG. PNG is lossless and preserves transparency, JPEG is most compatible, and WebP offers best compression. GIF, BMP, ICO, AVIF, TIFF, and SVG inputs are converted to PNG when you keep the original format.
Will splitting change the original image quality?
No. Each tile is a direct pixel crop from the original without scaling or re-sampling. The tiles together contain every pixel of the source at the same sharpness.
What happens with transparency or odd image sizes?
Transparent areas stay transparent in PNG or WebP tiles. If the image dimensions do not divide evenly, the last row and column tiles are slightly larger to include the remaining pixels, so no content is lost.
