  1. Paste text containing emoji into the input box.
  2. Emoji strip live; switch to Emoji + symbols for arrows and shapes.
  3. Toggle spacing cleanup off if exact original gaps must survive.
  4. Click Copy Output or Download .txt to keep the cleaned text.
  5. Click Clear to empty both boxes and start over.

Why Strip Emoji

Emoji break systems built for plain text: legacy databases reject four-byte characters, SMS segments split mid-emoji, search indexes choke on pictographs, and formal documents look unprofessional sprinkled with smileys. Removing them beats retyping — especially across hundreds of pasted reviews, chats or comments.

Sequences, not single characters

Modern emoji are assembled: flags pair regional letters, families join people with invisible connectors, skin tones modify bases, and keycaps stack three code points. Deleting only the visible parts leaves corrupt fragments. This tool removes every piece — bases, modifiers, joiners, selectors and keycap marks — in one pass.

Symbols vs text

Arrows, stars and geometric shapes sit on the fence between decoration and content, so they stay by default and go in symbols mode. True text symbols (© ® ™) never match either mode. To inspect what was removed code-point by code-point, use the Unicode Converter; to measure the result, the Word Counter.

Honest limitations

Brand-new emoji from the latest Unicode release may lag until the range tables update. Text-presentation symbols that double as emoji stay put by design. For very large pastes of tens of megabytes, live scanning on each keystroke can feel slower on older phones.

Privacy and Client-Side Security

Privacy Guarantee: All scanning occurs locally inside your browser. Your text is never transmitted, stored, or recorded on remote servers.

Many online cleaners send your pasted messages to a server for processing. TinyToolzz takes a different approach: every range match runs in the page itself with plain JavaScript.

Because nothing is uploaded, there is no waiting, no account, and no copy retained anywhere. Your text exists only in the tab's memory and is discarded when you close the page or click Clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as an emoji?
Faces, people, hands, animals, food, objects, flags and symbols from the pictographic Unicode blocks, plus the invisible glue holding them together: joiners, skin-tone modifiers, regional indicators and keycap marks. Removing the glue too leaves no stray invisible characters behind.
Do flag and family emoji disappear completely?
Yes. Flags are pairs of regional indicator letters and families are people joined by invisible joiners — all covered. A US flag vanishes entirely rather than leaving two stray letters, and a family leaves no leftover joiner behind.
What does the symbols mode add?
Symbols mode extends coverage to arrows, geometric shapes, dingbats, enclosed characters and miscellaneous technical symbols. Copyright, registered and trademark signs stay always, since they are legitimate text symbols rather than emoji.
Why clean up spacing afterwards?
Deleting an inline emoji leaves its neighboring spaces behind, turning 'hello world' into 'hello world'. Spacing cleanup collapses the gap and trims line edges, so the result reads naturally. Turn it off to preserve exact original spacing.
Is there a text length limit?
There is no fixed limit. The tool scans documents of several megabytes in memory. Extremely large pastes (tens of megabytes) may respond more slowly because scanning runs on each keystroke.
Is my text uploaded to a server?
No. All scanning happens locally in your browser with JavaScript. Your text is never transmitted, stored or logged anywhere. Closing the tab or clicking Clear removes everything immediately.
