  2. Click Generate to create a fresh grid. Use Shuffle to reorder the same colors.
  3. Click the lock icon on any favorite to keep it on the next Generate.

Using locks and shuffle

Locking turns randomness into curation: keep a liked blue, regenerate the rest until the companions feel balanced. Shuffling tests adjacency without changing hues — useful when the same five colors read differently in another order. Honest limitations

Uniform random covers the full gamut, so many grids will include clashing or low-contrast neighbors. For harmonious output by theory (complementary, triadic), prefer the Palette Generator. History lives only in tab memory and clears when you close the page. Crypto randomness falls back to Math.random where unavailable, still uniform but not cryptographically strong.

Some generators fetch colors from a server, adding latency and logging. TinyToolzz samples directly in your tab via Web Crypto or Math.random and derives HEX/RGB/HSL with plain JavaScript.

What do lock and shuffle do?
Lock keeps a color fixed (shown with a lock icon) so Generate only replaces unlocked colors. Shuffle reorders the current palette without changing colors, useful for testing adjacency.
